Kamala experiences life through her lens with much of her work reflecting the mood of her coastal Southern California home. The ocean can be powerful and thrilling, as you feel the rumble of waves crashing beneath your feet. But it can also be calm and soothing. For this series Kamala wanted to capture the softness of a hazy sky to convey the serenity and gentleness as tides glide around rocks on their way to the shore.

This photograph was shot just south of the Redwoods in Humboldt, California.
